Privacy Policy — Speak Easy by Sunday (Habla Con Luna)

Speak Easy by Sunday, also known as Habla Con Luna ("the app," "we," "us," or "our"), is operated by Main Street Group LLC / MSG Partners Inc. ("the Company"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We designed the app to work with as little personal information as possible — you can start using it immediately, without creating an account.
Plain-language summary: You can use the app anonymously. When you chat with Luna, your messages are processed by an AI service (Anthropic) to generate replies. When Luna speaks or when you speak to Luna, that audio is processed by an AI voice service (ElevenLabs). If you choose to sign in (optional), we use Apple or Sunday to create your account. We don't sell your data. Details below.
1. Important note about AI processing
Speak Easy is an AI-powered language tutor. To make Luna work, some of your information is processed by third-party artificial intelligence services:
- Your written messages to Luna are sent to Anthropic (the "Claude" AI service) through our servers, so Luna can understand you and reply.
- Voice audio — when Luna speaks her replies aloud, and when you speak to Luna, that audio is processed by ElevenLabs (an AI voice service) to convert text to speech and speech to text.
This processing happens through external (off-device) AI services, and we disclose it clearly here and within the app before these features are used. We do not send your data to these services for any purpose other than making the app's core features work for you.
2. Information we collect
a. Information you provide by using the app
- Conversation content — the messages you type or speak to Luna, and Luna's replies. This is stored so your learning can continue across sessions.
- Voice recordings — audio you record when speaking to Luna, and the audio of Luna's spoken replies, are processed by ElevenLabs. ElevenLabs processes this audio under its standard service terms, which may include retaining audio and using it to provide and improve its services; see ElevenLabs' own privacy policy for details. We do not store your raw voice recordings on our servers beyond what is needed to deliver the feature.
- Learning data — information Luna infers about your learning, such as your language level, topics you've practiced, and areas you're working on. This is what makes the tutoring adaptive.
b. Account information (only if you choose to sign in) Signing in is optional. If you sign in:
- Sign in with Apple — we receive an identifier from Apple, and (only if you choose to share it) your name and email. Apple allows you to hide your email; we support that.
- Sign in with Sunday — we receive an identifier and, as part of that service, may receive a phone number used to create your account identity.
If you don't sign in, you use the app as an anonymous user with no email, name, or phone number attached.
c. Information collected automatically
- Basic technical and diagnostic information needed to operate and troubleshoot the app (for example, error logs). We do not collect precise location.
We do not knowingly collect information from children. See Section 8.
3. How we use your information
We use your information only to:
- Provide the core service — let you converse with Luna, generate replies, and speak/understand audio.
- Personalize your learning — adapt lessons, practice, and vocabulary to your level and progress.
- Maintain your account and progress (if you sign in).
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the app.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
4. Who we share information with (third-party services)
We share information only with the service providers needed to run the app, and only for that purpose:

These providers process your data to deliver the service. Their handling differs, and we describe it honestly:
- Anthropic: data submitted through Anthropic's API is not used to train Anthropic's models, and is retained by Anthropic for a limited period (approximately 7 days) for trust-and-safety purposes before deletion.
- ElevenLabs: audio and text are processed under ElevenLabs' standard service terms, which may include retention and use of the data to provide and improve its services. If you prefer that your voice audio not be processed this way, you can use the app in text-only mode (see Section 7).
- Supabase and Railway act as our infrastructure providers and process data on our behalf.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Company.
5. How long we keep your information
- Conversation and learning data: kept while you use the app so your progress persists. Anonymous users' data is tied to your device/session.
- Voice audio: we do not store raw audio on our servers beyond delivering the feature; ElevenLabs' retention is governed by its own terms, as described in Section 4.
- Account data: kept while your account is active.
You can request deletion of your data — see Section 7.
6. How we protect your information
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for data in transit, access controls on our database, and secure storage of authentication sessions on your device. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Your choices and rights
- Use anonymously — you can use the full core app without providing any personal identity.
- Voice is optional — you control whether to use voice features; you can turn Luna's voice off and choose not to use the microphone. Text-only use avoids voice processing entirely.
- Access and deletion — you may request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us at the address in Section 10. If you signed in, you may sign out at any time from the Account screen.
- Regional rights — depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. We honor these rights where they apply.
8. Children's privacy
Speak Easy is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
